What an ASMR walk is

An ASMR walk pairs slow, stabilized 4K scenery with the close, natural sounds of a place — snow crunching underfoot, a frozen creek, wind through the trees — so the experience is calming rather than energetic. Global Walk's ASMR walks add a subtle layer on top: a 7Hz theta binaural beat tuned for relaxation, meditation and sleep.

About the binaural beats

Binaural beats work by playing a slightly different frequency in each ear; the brain perceives the difference as one slow pulse. The theta range (around 4–8 Hz) is associated with the drowsy, meditative state just before sleep. Because the effect depends on left/right separation, these walks are best experienced with stereo headphones — on speakers you still get the soothing 4K scenery and ambient audio, just without the binaural pulse.

How to use them for sleep or focus

Put on headphones, dim the screen, and let a walk play from start to finish — many people use them to wind down at night, to meditate, or as calm background for reading and focus. As new ASMR and sleep walks publish, they appear here automatically, every one keeping the same Global Walk discipline: stabilized 4K, a real walking pace, and no talking.

Frequently asked

What are binaural beats and how do they help with sleep?

They play a slightly different tone in each ear; the brain perceives the difference as a low pulse. These walks use 7Hz theta-range beats over the natural trail audio — a frequency many find helps with relaxation, meditation and sleep. Best with stereo headphones.

Do I need headphones?

For the binaural effect, yes — the left/right tone separation only works over stereo headphones or earbuds. The scenery and ambient sound are still relaxing on speakers.

Is there any talking or narration?

Never — only the natural sound of the location layered with the gentle binaural tone, so nothing pulls you out of the relaxation.

Where can I watch them?
